Bay Harbor Islands movers

Bay Harbor Islands is two small islands in Biscayne Bay, a short drive south of our office. The east island is mostly low-rise apartment and condo buildings, the west island mostly single-family homes, and each has its own moving quirks.

Moving in Bay Harbor Islands

Many buildings on the east island are mid-century walk-ups of two to four stories, some with a small elevator and some with none. Stairs, narrow landings and limited street parking are normal. We size the crew for the stairs and confirm where the truck can stand.

Newer boutique condo buildings on the island have elevators, but they also have association rules, so we handle the certificate of insurance and elevator booking the same way we do in larger towers. On the west island, moves are typical single-family homes with driveways and room to work.

Local know-how

What we plan for in Bay Harbor Islands

  1. 01

    Walk-up buildings

Expect stairs on the east island. We plan crew size and timing around them.

  2. 02

    Street parking

Spaces are limited. We confirm truck placement in advance so loading does not stall.

  3. 03

    Broad Causeway

It is the direct route to and from North Miami. We factor its traffic into the schedule.

Questions

Moving in Bay Harbor Islands: questions we hear

Do stairs make my move take longer?

Yes. Stairs are one of the biggest factors in how long a move takes. Tell us the floor and whether the building has an elevator, and we will plan the crew size so the day stays on schedule.

Can you move me from Bay Harbor to the mainland?

Of course. Moves from the islands to North Miami, Aventura or anywhere in Broward are routine.
