Local moving in South Florida
Most of our work is local: a two-bedroom from Aventura to Hollywood, a townhouse in Pembroke Pines, a studio in South Beach. We plan each one so it fits in a single day without anyone rushing your furniture.
What a local move with us looks like
It starts with a call or a quote request. We ask about the rooms, the big pieces, how far the truck can park from each door and whether either building has elevator rules. From that you get a written estimate, so the number on moving day is not a surprise.
On the day, the crew walks the home with you before anything is lifted. Floors and door frames get protected, furniture gets wrapped in moving blankets, and anything that has to come apart, like bed frames and dining tables, is taken apart and labeled so it goes back together the same way.
At the new place we place furniture where you want it, reassemble what we took apart and take the blankets with us. You do a final walk-through before the crew leaves.
Planning around South Florida
Local moves here have their own problems. Summer afternoons bring heat and sudden storms, so we start early and keep shrink-wrap and plastic on the truck for anything that cannot get wet. I-95 and the causeways are slow at rush hour, so we route around them where we can and tell you honestly how long the drive will take.
Many buildings also limit moves to weekday hours or require a reservation for the service elevator. If you are not sure what your building needs, ask the management office for its move-in rules and send them to us. We will work the schedule around them.

Questions
Local Moving: common questions
How far ahead should I book a local move?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for most moves. The end and beginning of each month fill up first, especially in summer. If you need to move sooner, call us. We can often fit in short-notice jobs midweek.
How is a local move priced?
Local moves are usually priced on the size of the crew and the time the job takes. Access matters a lot: stairs, long walks from the truck, and elevator waits all add time. That is why we ask detailed questions before giving you a written estimate.
Do I need to empty my dressers?
Light clothing can usually stay in drawers. Take out anything heavy, fragile or valuable, such as books, glassware, jewelry and documents. The crew will tell you on the day if a piece is too heavy to carry safely with the drawers full.
