Fort Lauderdale movers

Fort Lauderdale has a little of everything we move: downtown towers along the New River, canal homes in Rio Vista and Coral Ridge, older houses in Victoria Park and the condo row on Galt Ocean Mile.

Moving in Fort Lauderdale

Downtown and in Flagler Village, moves are mostly high-rise and mid-rise apartments with loading docks, freight elevators and building paperwork. On Galt Ocean Mile, at the north end of the beach, the oceanfront condos have the same requirements as the towers we work in every week in Sunny Isles.

The canal neighborhoods, like Rio Vista, Las Olas Isles, Harbor Beach and Coral Ridge, have larger homes on narrow streets where truck placement matters. Victoria Park and Sailboat Bend have older homes with character and tighter doorways.

Local know-how

What we plan for in Fort Lauderdale

  1. 01

    Downtown loading docks

Reserved dock times and freight elevators. We arrive at the start of your slot.

  2. 02

    Canal streets

Narrow streets and dead ends on the isles mean we plan where the truck stands before we arrive.

  3. 03

    Boat show season

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show fills roads near the beach every fall. We plan around it.

Questions

Moving in Fort Lauderdale: questions we hear

Do you move into Galt Ocean Mile condos?

Yes. The oceanfront buildings there work the same way as the towers near our office: insurance certificate, elevator reservation and set move hours. We handle all of it.

Can you move a home on a canal street with limited parking?

Yes. We look at the street during the estimate and plan the truck position and carry distance. On tight streets we may use a longer carry with carts rather than block the road.
